Accessed from Configuration Macros can be placed into stationery with the Stationery Editor - they are strings that are replaced by real text when the stationery is included in a message. eg: &A& in stationery will be replaced by the user's default email address when a message is started using this stationery. Macros shown in red are system macros and cannot be changed or deleted. System Macros are mostly self-explanatory, but two might need further explanation: &USERNUMBER& and &MESSAGENUMBER& - the first identifies the MailCOPA user and the latter is a unique number allocated to the message (incremented by one each time it is used) so that a unique identifier can be created for this message. Useful for identifying original messages when replies come in, for instance in a support system. See also the page on Macro Commands
